Reminding Ourselves

Here are some verses from Psalm 66 which stand out and remind me of who God is.

Verses 1-2

“Shout joyful praises to God, all the earth! Sing about the glory of his name! Tell the world how glorious he is.”

God wants to hear our praises; and sometimes we need to remind ourselves of the many things we can praise God for!

Verse 7

“For by his great power he rules forever. He watches every movement of the nations; let no rebel rise in defiance.”

Does the news make you nervous or uncertain when you hear it? Remind yourself that God rules FOREVER!

Verses 20

“Praise God, who did not ignore my prayer or withdraw his unfailing love from me.”

God will always hear our prayers and the cries of our hearts!

None of us know what the coming days, weeks or months ahead are going to hold for ourselves, our family or our friends, BUT God does. And God is “I AM”! (Exodus 3:14) We can trust His unfailing love for each one of us!

I know many of us have moments when we feel unsettled, uncertain or even unnerved by something that has or is happening around us. These are the times to pull our thoughts in, go to scripture and God’s truth and declare Who He Is and What’s He’s Done!

Let’s be intentional as we stand on God’s truth and remind ourselves, and each other, that we belong to Christ and He rules forever!
